- Forks:
Dinner size forks measure approximately 7.50"
One fork stamped Mr. and one fork stamped Mrs.
- Server:
Measures about 9.50" tall
One server hand stamped just married.
- Packaging: Silver storage pouches
Set comes with two simple gray utility looking silver storage pouches which will help minimize tarnishing. One for the forks and one for the server.
- Condition:
Although the forks and server were in their original crackly cellophane bags some
were tattered and torn and made some scratches and in some cases a light ding which you can see in some of the photos. Chafe marks made by the cellophane is a result of the weight of the bagged items being stored on top of each other.
There will be evidence of polishing yet the forks have a nice mid shine due to their gloss finish.
- Hand Stamping:
The finish on these makes them much harder to stamp. The impression is a little bit lighter then some of my vintage silver plate sets. Backs of forks do get rub marks from the block.
Lettering is hammered by hand. Placement of the lettering on your set will be similar but not exact. Alignment, spacing and impression depth of each letter varies they may not be even; perfectly straight which is part of the charm.
