This one-of-a-kind (OOAK) pillow was created with hand embroidery, vintage fabrics and ribbons. I build it as I go, and bring elements into the pillow that I feel work with the embroidery. This one has some quilted fabric from the '40s from my grandmother's attic, some tablecloth material from the '50s, and some ribbon from the '30s! The lady's dress takes elements from the beautiful embroidered background cotton fabric, and dictates the flowers on her top. Her feet are a free-style doodle and create an interesting focal point to the work. It isn't sewn with a pattern, and though it looks like a rectangle, it's not quite straight edged. It features a vintage hand towel on the back, and inside there's a hand sewn pillow insert filled with a poly-fil. It measures 20 x 14 inches, so it will fit most anywhere. Can be washed gently by hand as needed.
