Each dainty flower was woven with a black, silky thread with seed beads forming petals around six faceted, garnet rounds. I connected the flowers with jumprings to beaded bits of wire I formed myself with 22 gauge wire. The connecting beads weren't made from eyepins, but actual wire I wrapped myself making the design more secure.
The toggle clasp I also made myself with a little bit of clever wire wrapping and small garnet rounds. This is a relatively delicate design, so it will need to be handled with care as you would any other fine jewelry.
Garnet is a natural, semi-precious stone, and also happens to be the birthstone of for January. ♥
