Inspired by the ancient Celtic sea, a handcrafted lamp work glass bead in sandy beige, blue and silver is accented by strong yet soft hand stitched bead work. I used a custom-designed mix of seed beads in silver lined blue, gold, black, brown, crystal, and topaz to bring out the beautiful shades in this 2 inch pendant made by fellow Etsy artist Fireseed (http://www.fireseed.etsy.com). I imagined a young Queen Boudica as she started her fight against the Roman empire, determined to save her people from Roman rule, looking over the sea from Britain to France (then known as Gaul). I could see her staring at the dark blue waves, the sun shining through the clouds, the sea foam as it washed rocks against the shore. This necklace was born.

This is a one of a kind piece, I cannot get this exact focal bead again, so get this beautiful necklace while you can. I made this in a lariat-style of necklace so that it can be worn choker-style, with the pendant hanging far down the chest, or looser, with the pendant closer to your neck, whichever you choose.

I may have enough of the seed bead mix to make a bracelet or some matching earrings, please contact me if you are interested.

All jewellery is kept in a resealable plastic bag with anti-tarnish paper, packaged in a handmade origami box and with a hand made, blank gift card, each printed with one of my nature photos - you won't even need to wrap it if you're giving it away! The last photo is an example of how your package will look, though photos used may vary.

Once payment is received, items are shipped fully insured by Canada Post within 2 business days (Friday purchases will be shipped first thing Monday morning). Packages should arrive within 2-8 business days from being shipped (to U.S.A. or internationally may take longer).

My new collection is called NeoAmour, or, NewLove. It is based on jewelry of the past, that I have redesigned for today's woman. This is not just any jewelry: this jewelry is based on what powerful women of the past would have worn. Jewelry that symbolized power, wealth, status.
