jae jean nester no. 703 features a vintage aluminum egg poacher and a small aluminum bowl. all the pieces have been securely fastened together with a steel post, nuts and bolts (all of which are hidden) including a vintage wood drawer pull -- perfect for easy lifting and carrying around the house. vintage wooden spools have been hand tinted in bronze and teal and are used for support and balance. little scraps of material from a vintage quilt are tied onto the spools for extra charm. the little egg cups can be removed from the nester for ease in selecting the buttons, beads or whatever from the cups. the dimensions of this 3-tier nester are 10.5" wide by 15" tall, perfect for resting on top of a desk, countertop, art table or bathroom vanity. great for serving food at a party or displaying wares at a craft fair -- the uses are endless!
each of the pieces in this nester has been hand-selected by me at antique malls, flea markets and yard sales. they have been chosen for their vintage loveliness and practicality. since they are old they are chipped, dented, rusted, dinged and worn. each of these flaws simply adds to the vintage charm.
