jae jean nester no. 704 features a very old steel 3-piece storage tin and a vintage screwdriver handle -- all in red. the lid, tray and bowl of the tin have been securely fastened together with a steel post, nuts and bolts (all of which are hidden). a vintage industrial wood spool is used for support and balance. the vintage red screwdriver handle makes it easy to pick up the nester for transport from one room to another AND makes a great spool for a ball of string or twine!! the dimensions of this 2-tier nester are 8.5" wide by 15" tall, perfect for resting on top of a desk, countertop, art table or bathroom vanity. great for displaying a vintage collection or keeping sewing supplies at hand -- the uses are endless!
each of the pieces in this nester has been hand-selected by me at antique malls, flea markets and yard sales. they have been chosen for their vintage loveliness and practicality. since they are old they are chipped, dented, rusted, dinged and worn. each of these flaws simply adds to the vintage charm.
