This is a bubbly set of 5 (yes, FIVE!) individual little felt decorations that will look bright and brilliant in your home, your car, or your office...or maybe you have aspirations to have the most individual and stylish Christmas tree this season?
They are inspired by the vibrant coral reefs of tropical seas, teaming with life and magic!
They are completely handmade - inspired by natural and organic forms, designed by hand, cut out by hand, stitched by hand, stuffed by hand and beaded by hand - no mechanics or machinery more sophisticated than scissors have touched their fuzzy forms.
But the best thing about them is they’re eco-friendly:
- The felt is made entirely from post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.
- The thread used to sew them up is second hand cotton floss handed down to me from my mum.
- The beads used to make the loops are upcycled.
- The filling is recycled, reclaimed cotton fibre, sourced locally.
Basically – virtually nothing NEW was bought or used in the production of this felty. PLUS there’s absolutely no waste in the making of these as all the cotton trimmings and felt off-cuts are chopped up nice and small and used to help stuff them. How cool is that?!
They measure approximately 3 inches long by 2 inches wide, stitched with cotton floss using leaf stitch, blanket stitch and French knots and finished with glass beads. It comes from a smoke-free household, and is squishy and colourful and, well just really rather wonderful actually.
Your beautiful ornament will come carefully wrapped in tissue, and sent in a partly recycled (but totally recycle-able) card box.
