This freeform copper cuff is topped with a sterling silver dogwood flower with leaves. Graceful copper tendrils surround the flower, and the center was created with Swarovski crystals. The cuff is malleable, and will form to your wrist, fitting up to a size 7.5. The cuff itself is 1 3/8 inches wide, and the silver flower/leaves measures 3 inches at its widest point.
A variety of techniques were used to create this piece, including cold connections, silversmithing (soldering), and wirework. Each element of the flower has been attached independently, so the flower actually moves a bit, which adds to the 3-dimensional effect. The combination of colors and textures in this cuff makes this a dramatic piece of one-of-a-kind wearable art.
A small leather patch has been placed inside the cuff to hide the wire work, which although filed and smoothed, still could have become caught on objects and damaged. This will also ensure no scratches to delicate skin or snagging on clothes!
