Cardboard box, 4.75 inches long, 2.75 wide, and 1.5 tall. The front has a graphic vibrant and colorful illustration of people, dressed in Victorian garb, at a park: some are boating at the lake, others are listening to a band playing in the bandstand, kids are holding a balloon or a flag, and there's even a little dog! The words "Band Concert" are written in lovely cursive below.
The back has the words "Ohio Blue Tip Matches" written in a beautiful font, along with brand marks: "(c)1955 by the Ohio Match Co, Wadsworth Ohio Made in the U.S.A. Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Vol. 16 cubic inches". Some wear to the box as expected for its age, the striking strip shows some use but certainly has a lot of life left.
It's quite rare to find these boxes still full of matches! Makes a very cool gift for a hostess, a mid century collector, or to display in your home.
