This is a late late 1940's rotary dial telephone. I purchase a lot of phones from a man who used to work for SNET - american Phone Company in the 1980's. I was told that they are all in working order however, I have not checked so I'm uncertain what issues each phone may have. Therefore, all of the phones come as is. Some have the chords that you plug into the wall some don't. I cannot guarantee that they are in working condition.
All of the phones are unique colors and most have labels that say "not to be sold for resale". This is a super cool feature because they were not available to the public. He bought the phones from his work when they became obsolete because he liked the colors. When you had a phone in the 70's or 80's the phone company gave you with their service the white or cream ones for free. Anything else was considered a special order and you paid more for color. Some rotary colors are extremely difficult to get which is why the price is high. They are amazing for staging for photo shoots or using for daily life. I have kept two which I am planing on installing as home phones.
This is a vintage / antique midcentury business extension rotary phone. It was used at a military recruiters office. The secretary at the switch board would send the calls through to the desk. It is in super condition and really cool.
