When I saw it I knew I had to make a clock out of it.
I cleaned and ployed the wheel. I bought a clock from Wally World and took it apart for the works and to make sure I got the spacing right for the bolts that mark the hour. I took a bean can cleaned it, painted it with Rust-Oleum paint and put the clock works into it.
I set the time on it last night and this morning it is right on.
To change the time or replace the battery just pull the center piece all the way out, put your hand in the back and you can correct the time or change the battery.
It measures 18" across the face. 4 1/2" thick the center piece is 3 1/2". And it weights aprox 16lbs.
I love this piece. I hope you do too.
Thanks for looking and come again.
P.S. This does have some messed up places on the back side that does not take away from the looks.
See last two pic's. Remember it is a museum piece.
