Sister to the beloved Sea Siren headdress. She too will enthrall and delight with each amazing detail....should you be lucky enough to catch sight of this elusive beauty.
An opulent piece of antique metal lace, studded with antique rhinestones, drapes framing the face, while a veil of gull grey netting fluidly enshrouds the head and hair. Hand-made, metallic silk blossoms and an absolutely breathtaking french buckle from the early 1900's, covered with brilliant rhinestones, adorn the right side.
From the dazzling sparkle of the rhinestones falls a tangle of antique metal, bullion fringe seaweed and long, elegant, slender feathers the color of storm clouds. The feathers are beaded on end with antique glass. More of these glass beads, having the appearance of bits of chiseled arctic ice, hang in strands and long loops from either side of the veil.
Soft tinkling sounds can be heard by one close enough to hear her move...sounds made by vintage brass, tribal jewelry bits, caught like fishing lures, along side fish scale sequins from the 1940's and other antique and vintage sparklies. She is mounted on a hidden silver plated headband that keeps her in place, like a well kept secret.
Your Mata Hari's Daughter Original is a one of a kind work of art, created from the finest vintage and antique collectibles. Unique in every way. Just like the women who wear them.
