These cakes are coffee cakes with a baby hidden inside, decorated in the traditional colors of Mardi Gras. These colors are Purple, Green, and Gold. After the cake has been sliced and handed out, the person with the baby is the Queen or King for the day and is the one chosen to give the next "King Cake Party"!
