My items come from a smoke free environment, but, I do have a fat Tuxedo kitty that roams my studio. Sadie Mae does not get on the items, she remains on the floor or in her bed.
This candle mat is approx. 10 1/2" diam. using a double layer of dark brown wool fabric.
The hearts, leaves and circles are a combination of wool/felt.
This is my design so please respect that. Thank you :)
Each heart is a 3 layer heart attached using DMC Embroidery floss and the Blanket stitching and Straight stitching. In the center of the hearts I added a green circle with straight stitches and a French knot.
I added 3 pink French Knots to each of the leaves centers.
The very edge is stitched with black embroidery floss using the Blanket Stitching.
If you must wash this I recommend dabbing with a clean damp cloth. I can not guarantee how the colors will react to washing.
If you do need to wash the whole item, then do so using cold water, mild soap, do not wring or twist. Lay on a flat towel to dry.
