This ring features a large master cut pink emerald set in a handmade 'Indie'-style sterling band. The stunning 7.5mm (diameter) x 1.50 carat gem was earth-mined in Brazil and is 100% natural - that's to say, no heat or chemical treatment processes were needed to enhance its colour or stunning eye clean ('VVS') clarity. The gem is also superbly cut, displaying neat proportions and symmetry. It has a flawless unblemished surface, excellent luster, and displays the gorgeous pale orangey peach pink hue with diamond-like flash and fire that quality pink emeralds are famed for.
The indie style sterling band is a handmade 'nature spirit' design, solidly constructed on 3.0mm half-round comfort-fit stock. The decoration features a pair of veined, spear-pointed leaves set either side of a 6-pronged crown. All up the ring weighs 3.1 grams and measures a consistent 3.0mm wide x 1.8mm deep in the band. The inside of the band is stamped BAJA (my maker's mark for handmade one-offs) and is hallmarked .925 (for the all-sterling content).
As with all Salon Petite rings, both the prong tips and band edges have been micro-sanded to limit the chances of the metalwork catching in hair or on clothing, and to assure the ring slips easily on and off the finger.
