This listing is for a large piece from a grandmother's flower garden pattern vintage quilt that has 8 different flowers. The second photo shows the entire piece. The flowers are 5 inches on a side, not including the green and red surrounding pieces. The piece is oddly shaped. Through the middle as the piece is shown in the first photo, it measures 34 inches by 21 inches. The "pavement" is an unusual and beautiful color combination of soft jade green and red. The back of the piece is deep emerald green. The quilt appears to be entirely hand-pieced. The flowers and red pieces in the pavement are outline quilted by hand at 6-8 SPI. I think this was an older quilt top that was finished later, because the thin batting seems to be a blend, rather than 100% cotton, but the fabrics in the flowers definitely are from the 1940s. I found one tiny faint spot in the green pavement and did not find any other flaws or blemishes.
I do my very best to accurately describe each piece of fabric I sell, but please remember that these are vintage textiles that have been used and will have flaws and blemishes, or they would not be cutters.
