This necklace is reversible. It is made from a piece of brass hinge that has a lovely rusty-red patina on one side and an equally lovely verdigris patina on the other. I discovered it on Newport's historic Bellevue Avenue, so it's a fancy found object -- I like to imagine it was dropped by someone working on one of the mansions. The entire piece of reclaimed hardware has been sealed with Mod Podge and hung on an 18-inch silvertone chain. One of a kind.
