Set of 3 Original paintings
♥ Size: 2 1/2" w by 2 1/2" h x 1/2" thick
♥ Medium: Acrylic
Featured here is a set of three tiny original paintings, a series of Japanese Lucky Cats in bright colors with sunburst backgrounds and accents of gold metalic. The Japanese Lucky Cat, or beckoning cat, is a good luck symbol in Japan. Not only are they super cute but they are also said to bring good fortune and prosperity. Their color, attire, and even which paw is raised all have special significance. This series features a white, black, and gold lucky cat. A white body is said to bring good luck, a black body wards off evil spirits and protects from illnesses, and a gold body brings good fortune.
The images wrap around the sides of the canvases, making them pleasant to view from all angles. Upon completion I glaze the paintings with an acrylic satin glaze to provide luster and protection. All three paintings are initialed and dated on the back by the artist and a certificate of authenticity is also provided. They are painted on chubby little gallery-wrapped hand-stretched canvases made from pine blocks stretched with 100% cotton canvas and back-stapled, on which I've secured a metal screw eye hook for convenient hanging. The size of each canvas is 2 1/2" w by 2 1/2" h x 1/2" thick. They can be displayed in a variety of ways including vertically, horizontally, on a ribbon to create a garland mini-gallery, separately on the wall or as ornaments or pendants. They are a perfect size for those awkward little areas that you're not sure how to decorate.
