This collage is on an 8 x 8 canvas with 1 1/2 inch deep sides. I've taken a print of a face that I made in my art journal and collaged her on this canvas. I enhanced her further by touching up her face, hair and surrounding flowers with acrylics and watercolors, and then finished up the piece with vintage lace and some crackle paste to add texture, and adding a found cupboard door handle on the top and a Paris charm embellishment on the bottom.
It's sealed with coats of gloss varnish, which brings out the colors and also for protection. I've signed the back and it's all ready to be hung--no need for a frame.
