This is a unique terrarium with a REAL Butterfly!
This is an acrylic dome terrarium with a black base. This is a very special terrarium that I have designed to look like it was captured right from nature. This piece holds a collection of different mosses and lichen Mosses preserved from the Santa Cruz mountains. There is a REAL Butterfly perched so delicately on the moss covered branch resting againsted an old sea shell.
The Butterfly is a Male, Zerene Cesonia.
The dome is airtight when closed. Keeping this specimen airtight will allow it to last.
However you can remove the dome for a closer look.
No care is needed for this terrarium, however it is recommended to keep this piece out of direct sunlight to help preserve the color of your specimen.
These are wonderful conversation pieces and the perfect way to treasure these short lived creatures.
This piece measures 5 1/2" tall and the bottom measures 3 3/4" in diameter.
The bottom will be labeled with the specimens type.
