Sturdy olive green linen topper with double-layer plaid towel. The towel is from fabric that I overdyed to tone down the orange. The resulting plaid is muted spring green, pale blue, and red-orange - and this is my last piece of it, in this towel.
I added the little whimsical tip of green, red, and yellow calico on a white ground to brighten things up. Seam is topstitched for emphasis.
All topstitched in olive green. Darling little buttercream yellow enamel button sewn on with buttercream thread.
Topper measures 5.25" at widest point. Towel is 16.75" long and 14.5" wide at bottom. Hanging length, when buttoned, is 20.75".
Machine wash regular, line dry for best freshness and long life.
Just in case you wonder: what is a hanging hand towel?
A hanging hand towel or oven towel buttons on to your oven door handle and reminds people to dry their hands there, instead of the dishtowels. Might keep your dish-drying towels sanitary longer. A hanging hand towel also looks more deliberate and functional than a dishtowel slung over the bar. Or you can hang it in the bathroom, laundry room, mud room, etc. as a hand towel (loop can accomodate approx. 1" wide bar).
