Colorful Floral Folk Pillow
From mygoodbabushka
This is a hand embroidered little round pillow that will put the essence of a spring garden in any corner of your room. I was inspired to make this by seeing the beautiful embroidery of the Kalocsa region of Hungary. I invented my own fantasy floral arrangement based on Hungarian folk designs and embroidered it all by hand in very neat satin stitch, which you can see in the detail picture #2. The ground fabric is a very pale cotton blend. The pillow is 12" at it's widest and is stuffed with polyester fiberfill. The back is not embroidered. It was also hand sewn using very durable upholstery thread for a long life. One of a kind. Spot clean with mild detergent when necessary.
