This piece was my entry for the February 2012 EBW Challenge Nest. When I came across a tutorial for a little silver wire nest not long after the challenge theme was announced, I knew that I wanted to create an earthy piece for one of those delicate little nests.
I created this bracelet in the peyote stitch with brown cube beads and earthy seed beads in browns and greens. I embellished the bracelet with brown square lamp work beads and the nest, which I wire wrapped myself with silver plated wire and three cream genuine pearls. The clasp is a white square lamp work bead and a beaded loop. Simple but elegant! This delicate piece has a quiet depth and can be dressed up or down for any occasion.
The bracelet is 6 3/4" (17.15 cm) long when clasped and 7 1/4" (18.42 cm) long from end to end, including the clasp. It is just over 1/4" (0.63 cm) wide.
