This is a "Play Topper" hat from the late 1930s-40s...these beret-style hats, worn at a slant or far back on the crown, were quite popular from 1939-1946, a fanciful take on the military styles of that era.
It's in very good condition with a few tiny pin holes on the felt and some slight discoloration near the inside band, neither of which would be obvious at all while the hat is being worn. The flower is a little smushed, nothing terrible mind you, but it could stand a bit of reshaping. Considering its age, this hat is in marvelous condition...ready to wear and guaranteed to delight ♥
