UPCYCLED TALL LICENSE PLATE SCALE & STRAINER LAMP:
Before I start, I wanted to let you know that all my "found object" creations are custom pieces. There will never be another piece exactly like it because my found parts dictate what the end result will be. I try to use all "found" parts in hopes to recycle items and extend their life and keep them away from landfills. I guess you could call them "green creations."
Two sets of vintage matching license plates (red & light blue) ad the flash to this great upcycled, recycled lamp. I modified the license plates into a perfect square to fit the top of the really old, vintage weigh scale. There's even a modified copper tube coming out of the bottom to hold the cord permanently and not allow it to rub anything as the scale is still able to go up and down! An old large kitchen strainer and muffin mold create the shade and create a beautiful lighting pattern. A vintage porcelain/enamel lid worked for a sturdy base for this tall one of a kind lamp.

***I INSIST on the customer using either a CFL bulb (60 watt max) or an LED bulb in my custom lamps. Standard incandescent bulbs make the fixtures unnecessarily hot and the new, alternate bulbs are better for the environment and your electric bill.

I also provide a FedEx tracking number upon shipping your item(s). If actual shipping seems a little higher, it's because I use slightly larger boxes to make sure your one-of-a-kind item arrives safely to you and is packed appropriately.
