Gracie May stands 9.5 inches/ 24 cm tall and 7.5 inches/ 19 cm sitting.
She is mainly made from a piece of slightly distressed, medium length, sparse, German mohair that Barbara has 'back dyed' in sky blue, pink and lilac, this means that a lot of the original white mohair pile is still white and the colour shows through from the backing. Her tummy, face, ear fronts and the under side of her tail are made from longer, wavy mohair hand dyed in shades of mauve and lilac. Gracie's paw pads are made from hand dyed lilac velvet with small splashes of peach. She has beautiful, hand painted purple eyes, which sparkle with flecks of blue when the light catches them and she has hand painted eyelids.
Gracie's nose has been embroidered with individual threads of cream, blue, pink, purple and black to coordinate with her mohair and of course she has a big, beaming smile.
We hope that Gracie will bring you visions of crocuses bursting through the snow, the signs that spring is on the way. She is a gentle, calm and romantic bear to put a smile in your heart. She loves to be wooed, to have flowers and chocolates, to curl up beside a blazing fire and snuggle into your arms and with Valentine's Day not so far away she might make a beautiful Valentine's Day gift.
