I have always loved books -especially the Grimm’s fairy tales with their dark, wooded justice. I also always loved old Victorian children’s stories about poor orphans, evil guardians, wolves and adventures.
Harlow was born to me as a single portrait, but her face enchanted and captivated me. She demanded a story. As I started painting, I soon realized that I was not creating a tale, I was simply documenting it.

This Paper doll is part of the Harlow collection. I released a set of "color me Harlow's" in Black and White - this is the first time ever that the Harlow paper doll is available in full color!
The Harlow paper doll comes with:
The Possum Orphans (who she saves from certain peril)
Her doll collection (her dreadful guardians always forget about her and sen her the exact same doll every year for her birthday)
and The Spiteful Sprites (who lead her into the deep dark forest)
Each paper doll sheet is printed on 8.5 x 11 100 lb antique white card-stock and is hand signed.
Each one comes wrapped with love in a clear plastic protective envelope, and will be shipped in a cardboard-fortified mailer.
