As a lifelong Poe fan and an admirer of this tradition, I am sad if it has ended, but the phrase "Poe toaster" set off an image in my mind that I couldn't get rid of, so with a smile, I present my own tribute to the writer and to the toaster, with a touch of humor and deep affection.
A toaster (the other kind of toaster) bearing a likeness of Mr. Poe on the side, has three roses coming out where there should be toast, and a bottle rests alongside on the counter. A simple, strange image, but one which will hold meaning to a Poe fan who knows the story.
