The wings are controlled by a hand held control pad. This control pad is used to open and close the wings, turn the lights on and off, and charge the CO2 air tanks on the wings. CO2 is loaded into the tanks on the wings with a hand held CO2 cartridge inflator commonly used to fill car and bike tires (included). Wings can open and close 12-16 times with one fill. Each CO2 cartridge can fill the tanks on the wings 3 times . So basically each CO2 cartridge can power the wings about 40 times (6 CO2 cartridges included). If CO2 cartridges are not available these wings can also be refilled at gas stations and wherever compressed air is available because they use the same type of compressed air connection that you fill car and bike tires with.
Replacement CO2 cartridges can be bought online or from local bicycle stores. Look for "16 Gram Threaded CO2 Cartridges"
The LED wing tips are powered by 8 AA batteries. With standard batteries the wing tips will stay on for roughly 2 days. You have the choice of red, blue, white, amber, or green LED's for the wing tips.
