My grandmother, Ruby Nickens (later Ruby Knox), was born just outside of Richmond, Virgina on December 23, 1923. She lived and worked in Washington, DC at the Pentagon during WWII as a photo developer and later at the US Government Printing Office. She was an avid Polaroid photography hobbyist after the Polaroid Land Camera was released in 1947. Ruby passed away on August 27, 2010. She was 87 years old. She loved collecting things her whole life and one of her passions was jewelry. This piece is from her costume jewelry estate.

The bracelet closes with a box clasp. The silver plating on the chain is in good vintage condition as there are barely any signs of wear. There is some discoloration due to oxidation. There are no missing charms. The wooden 8 Ball is missing the painted "8," although a few flecks of white paint remain. The last charm is a real Mexican 5 cent coin.
