One of a kind hand knit motorcycle cozy in pink. Using an actual motorcycle, the artist Theresa (Trixie) Honeywell knits covers for each different part of the motorcycle to create an all over covering (or cozy) that turns the motorcycle into a yarn covered sculpture. Once the bike is covered in yarn, it is NOT usable as a motorcycle anymore.

Each Knit Motorcycle sculpture explores the traditional icons of masculinity coupled with the traditional crafts of femininity (knitting), to create a new and disarming sculpture that challenges our preconceptions of what male and female symbols should be.

Past Knit Motorcycles have been displayed in the Georgia Museum of Art, Le Mieux Gallery in New Orleans, LA., CMS Atelier in MI., and the Craft Art Center in NJ.
