The Larimars of course came from the only place on Earth they should come from, the Dominican Republic. They are as rare and valuable as they are beautiful.
I have been eyeing these treasures of mine separately thinking what I should turn them into. Then somehow I decided that they will be better together then separately, and an idea evolved in my head, based on patterns, as always...
The copper piece has an urchin print, and the ceramic has a soft flowing feathery design, and adding more turquoise made me think of the sea floor. Reminded me of Hans Chrstian Andersen's Little Mermaid, the original of course, not the Disney version, where the little mermaid , like her sisters tends an underwater garden of her very own...
I spent a lot of time thinking about what that garden might look like. I think this is my version of it.
Since the Etsy Beadweaver's March Challenge theme is "Destinations", I decided to make this bracelet for that challenge. Please visit the team's blog between the 9th and 15th of March to vote for your favorite entry.
