I love supercoil yarns; I love the undulating waves achieved by slight variances in the diameter of the yarn, and the way the slowly morphing colours of the single are sped up by the coils. Plus they're just fun.
This yarn is merino, so it's soft and squishy, and it was spun from a beautiful roving dyed by Etsy's Spun Right Round. I bought two of these rovings, and spun them both as supercoils (they were just crying out for it), so if you have a project that needs more than one skein's worth of yarn, you're all set – and hey, if you buy both, you can have 10% off! Supercoil yarns are made by spinning a very, very fine single, then coiling it around an inner yarn or cord. This one is spun around a strong 8/4 yellow cotton warp thread.
