The base combination of ecru and pewter give this large, long, silk crepe scarf a muted aspect, while the deep reds and pinks add sparkle. Colors constantly changing, oak leaf hydrangeas keep on giving beauty all year 'round. There are multiple dye layers, each diffusing differently: The pewter background on one end is grayer, while the other end casts purple. I used black cherry and maroon dyes along with a sprinkle of hot pink to punch up the dried blossoms.
