This particular set depicts a woman who happens to be the cheerful one, declaring life to be half full, and a glum gentleman who feels it is half empty. If you want them switched, so the guy is optimistic and the woman is pessimistic, I can do that too. But does that actually ever happen in real life?
I also like how when they are filled with water, whatever is on the far side of the glass is stretched out through the whole optics/water thing, which I don't pretend to understand. All I know is it looks cool.
The glasses I am currently painting are a bit larger and chunkier than the ones depicted here, although they basically look very similar. They are 15.5 oz, tapered at the bottom so they angle in slightly, with a solid base.
These are painted with acrylic enamel and baked in an oven to set the paint. In some cases they are completely fine on the top rack of the dishwasher, but if you have a truly high powered or efficient dishwasher or you just want to play it safe, hand washing is probably best.
