Trilobites.....meaning "3 lobes"....they are a well known fossil group of extinct marine arthropods that form the class Trilobite....according to Wikipedia. They flourished throughout the lower Paleozoic era. Some of them moved over the sea-bed as predators, scavengers or filter feeders and some swam, feeding on plankton. This trilobite was made using the lost wax casting technique....each one slightly unique. It was made from a mold of an actual fossilized trilobite. I will be offering a slightly larger size one in March. The choker is approx. 18" in length and beads are strung on a strong and durable beadwire....the clasp is handmade from wire and work hardened for durability. The little trilobite measures about 3/4" in length and 1/2" in width approx.
This can work for guys too.....this would be my first unisex piece. This is a colorful great everyday knock around choker. There will be more of these in the future...these are being offered at a great price too...the backs of all the trilobites are stamped .925 and SS my maker's mark.
