Late 50s/early 60s' figure-hugging dress is the perfect cocktail or dinner dress. Ideal for VLV! Made of soft cotton velvet with satin shoulder straps and waist trim. Princess-seamed bodice, fitted waist, gathered hipline, back metal zipper. Wiggle skirt, with hem circumference narrower than hips. Skirt is lined front and back, 3/4 of the way down, with very soft cotton. By maker "Helen Whiting," which is well-known for its cotton velvet and velveteen dresses of the 50s. A beautifully made and styled dress!
COLOR NOTE: Dress is a rich cherry red, but may not show true to color on your monitor. The studio lights cast it a bit off color, and red is very hard to photograph true to color, anyway.
CONDITION: Excellent to near mint. No noted flaws, and has just been professionally dry cleaned.
SIZE: Small (6) to Medium, probably best for about a size 8. But go by the dimensions below! We suggest you compare to a dress you have of similar style or fit. There is no stretch to this, so please leave room for your body.
