The inside is champagne colored with one zipper pocket which contains a small comb. I don't believe it would have originally come with the purse, undoubtedly added later by the fine lady who wore this beauty at cocktail parties here on Martha's Vineyard. The other side of the bag has an open pocket with an adorable small coin purse inside which definitely came with the bag but appears to have never been used and still contains the original price tags as well as two tags that say "MM Examined by No 16" and "MM Framed by No 1". Very neat.
The outside of this bag is in absolutely amazing condition. The inside lining has some yellow markings on/ around the pockets.
Width: 9" at its widest on the base;
Diameter of handle: 5.5"
The bag has a hard bottom under the lining which allows the purse to stand upright on its own.
This is a beautiful accessory which would work nicely both with a formal dress and a pair of jeans.
About the Designer: Morris Moskowitz Inc was established in 1948. Morris had concentrated on fabric handbags of every kind and nature. He sought out the unusual. He marched from one end of Italy's warps to the other end of France's woofs looking for the rare and uncommon. He was always ready to try the unfamiliar and the unconventional. He felt that the fabric commands the shape of the handbag, a novel approach that lead to a constant stream of new styles with "MM" labels.
