Vintage Elementary Exercise In English (Japanese) Book

I have to admit there is not much information I know about this. I guess I must have found it to be a lovely book and just the feel of it makes me understand this. Not like a book from here... and since I do not read Japanese I cannot tell you much of what it says on the first few pages, like date published etc. But I do know it is Japanese, due to the fifth symbol since it only used in the Japanese language. Thanks to my brother for that information.

It for sure is a lesson book and was used with pencil writings in it. The pages feel more like fabric then paper... and they are rather thick. Measures 5" x 7+" and is about 1/4" thick. English phrases and words with the Japanese translations, or the other way around if you like.
