I made this necklace as part of a challenge by The Beadsmith for using metal seed beads. I chose copper metal beads in three sizes to go with a gorgeous new cabochon I found with veins of copper running through it.
For the pendant, I added small genuine turquoise round beads and Swarovski crystal bicones to bring out the copper tones and subtle blue shades in the center stone. I backed the pendant with caramel brown Ultrasuede for softness and comfort. The pendant hangs from a neck strap of cubic Right Angle Weave. The center portion uses more of the same turquoise beads. This section is edged with copper seed beads and copper-colored Czech crystals. The remainder of the strap has turquoise blue glass seed beads. The clasp is a copper-toned pewter toggle clasp.
Length: Neck strap: 17"
Pendant: 3" from the top of the bail
