The bag is 10" wide by 7" high, not including strap. The bag has a metal frame covered in the fabric as the bag, which is a beautiful matte satin printed with feathers in shades of brown, green, orange and gold. I think it might be supposed to be pheasant, but I don't care what it is, I think it's lovely.
The front of the bag is pleated, while the back is smooth. There is a gold-colored snap clasp on top, and gold hardware holding the strap. The inside is black satin, unmarked, and there is a label on one of the interior pockets that says "Pretty." How appropriate.
