Photo no.3 shows the pendant in wax form one step before a rubber mold is formed around the carving. When this rubber mold is placed in an "oven" at very high temperatures- the wax melts out, leaving in its place an exact impression of the original wax flower. This (now empty) rubber mold is then injected with melted yellow bronze to eventually form a rough casting of my design. The rough casting still needs to be cleaned, sawed, sanded and polished before I am able to paint the petals in resin. Once enameled, the final product is achieved (as pictured in photo no.1). The toggle clasp has been designed using this same method and was patiently hand-stamped with "Basil & Lola By Elisa". If you'd like to customize the clasp- please feel free to ask!
All beading and wire wrapping is also completed by me with care. Additional metal components made from Antique Brass (chain and headpins). Measurements TBD. Please enjoy this recent addition to my Basil & Lola line and thank you for taking a look! xElisa
