This is a bolo tie made from two pieces of oak, joined together with super-strong epoxy resin. The base is a scalloped oval stained with an antique copper acrylic. The cabochon is treated with my shop-formula turquoise oil-based stain, which allows the natural grain pattern to peek through. The slide then received 3 coats of satin polyurethane. I've attached a brass spring-lock back with epoxy resin, and added a 36-inch tan suedette cord adorned with a pair of tapered polished brass tips.
