The back of the bead is white and slightly textured. The bead is hand-buffed for shine. There is no paint involved in the making of this bead. It is 100% polymer clay and color will not rub off, chip off, or flake off.
The process of making this kind of a bead has many steps, each executed with careful attention to detail. There are several steps for texturing, shaping and forming, and finishing by hand sanding, hand buffing, and hand drilling a precise hole.
