Upcycled hardcover book.
Unlined bright white 70 lb text weight paper.
Several feet of hand-dyed linen bookbinding thread.
I removed the cover from the original book, taking care to keep the end paper intact and used that to cover the inner spine and to make a "library" style pocket for the back, which holds the title page with copyright. I also found creative ways to include the original table of contents and image inside the front cover. The pages are hand-cut with rounded corners, and bound snugly in a long-stitch style to allow the stitching pattern to be visible on the spine of the book. I used yellow hand-dyed thread to match the boys' yellow hair and jacket!
