This art block was made to be part of a set, a set that YOU will be creating. I supply you with the pieces so you can design the perfect arrangement for your home. The end result will be a combination of both our creative energy . Don't worry if you dont see all the pieces to your puzzle just yet, I plan to add a bunch more each week. Collect a few at a time till you have completed the perfect set or start with a small set and just let it keep growing. MatchBlox can sit on a shelf or work hanging in groups of 3 or groups of 30 its totally up to you!!

DETAILS
MatchBlox are hand made from solid wood and they are perfectly imperfect. I love taking a flawed grainy piece of wood and making something beautiful out of it. There are other materials that could give me cookie cutter perfection but to me they would lose too much of their character.
Most MatchBlox are first textured and then painted using acrylic paint. The design is printed over the painted background with a mixed media technique. I then use a combination of sanding and paint to create a distressed look. Sides are painted brown. I also do some without texture and just a light stain so that the wood grain shows through. There will never be any two blocks exactly the same however the design on this block will most likely be used again either in the same or a different color background. Low luster varnish was added for protection with a light shine. The back has a slot for hanging so they are flush with the wall. Felt feed are added to protect your wall and to keep it hanging straight. The backs are signed and numbered. Slots are in the same place on all my MatchBlox making these a snap to hang. For a 2 inch space between all your blocks you would just measure out your nails to be 7" apart going up and down.
