This surprising material and geometric shape makes this lamp both classic and innovative. The double glass cylinder recalls Art Deco forms in a unique contemporary way. The use of ready-made objects gives an appearance with a Duchamp idea. The lamp is inspired by Maria Sklodowska-Curie, the Polish scientific woman, awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the discovery of polonium and radium.
The tubes are detachable and the lamp provides the opportunity for visual experiment by creating a variety of configurations and arrangements.
Diameter: 47cmx47cm (18.5 x 18,5 inches) , high: variable (80 cm (31.5 inches) form celings, but you can order different lengh)
The package contains:
- ring with the hanging strings,
- ceramic bulb socket,
- ceramic ceiling rose
- 60 test tubes
Bulb is not included
Tubes are very durable. They have never broken in transport but you will receive some additional test tubes, just in case.
The lamp is very easy to install. You need it just to hang and put the tubes into the ring.
To arrange the rainbow, we have used food colouring powder (3 basic colors: red, blue, yellow) and mixed it in different proportions. Food powders are easy to remove, they do not color of glass permanently.

Graduated from The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2007 (Faculty of Painting)
She makes and designs items for everyday use, where she is looking for interaction between objects and users. Her special passion is lighting. Together with Edyta Oldak, she established the Society "Z siedzibą w Warszawie" ("With the seat in Warsaw") to realised projects for social design and design for the public space. In 2010 the society was awarded by Mayor of Warsaw, for the project "Great Architecture for All Children" as The Best Warsaw Non-Governmental Initiative 2010.
Awards:
3rd Prize in the competition for a souvenir from Poland, organized by the Cepelia Foundation for Polish Arts and Crafts, for the design of USB flash drives inspired by traditional Polish folk art birds.
