*please note, this listing is for the (1) lampworked ring top only, the ring (or pendant) base is sold separately*

One of a kind glass flower ringtop in a rich red, very glossy due to a transparent layer on every petal. a development from a rose design I often place on my lampworked beads, I thought it was time it became a ring top!
measures approximately 32 x 30 x 9.5mm thick

please look at all the photos, the red is really difficult to capture! its a very deep beautiful red that looks more burgundy in artificial light, and brighter in daylight. the camera sees it as more orangey than it actually is, and of course all monitors will vary!

shown here on the Silver Ring from the Alcazar range (see below for link)

no two will ever be quite the same as they are individually sculpted in hot glass.

I make these ringtops one by one in my Devon studio, they are annealed in my digitally controlled kiln.

whats a ring top?
a genius idea! you have a base unit (pendant, ring, earring, cufflink etc) which has a screw thread on it, and you add a topper which is made of glass with the corresponding nut embedded in it.

Created by Sabine at little castle designs, the alcazar system allows you to have all kinds of colours, shapes and styles in glass, but you only have to buy one base.

The best thing about this is that Sabine has shared with us other lucky lampworkers, how to make toppers that are compatible with her alcazar range.

Actually, I'll change that, because Sabine has shared with others how to do it, the best thing is that with artisans who make vastly different designs styles and colours of beads, you will have neverending choice for your jewellery! You can wear a tiny (or not that tiny in my case!) piece of art on your finger, and change it as often as you like!

Further to the alcazar range, George of Designed By George, clever person that she is, has made adjustable silver rings for these tops, they are gorgeous in themselves, they can be found here

I'll just mention, there are a couple of similar systems around, but do be careful, some of them have different thread sizes and so won't all be compatible with eachother. this has a 2.5mm thread

yes, its made of glass, it can break if treated very roughly, but I've been wearing mine without any problems.

please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
