This gigantic (well, compared to my other felted bowls, see last photos) felted wool bowl would make a great planter cozy. It will also add a great textural element alongside glass vases as part of your home decor. You can also place a collection of lightweight objects inside it. The walls are made of wool and rather flimsy, so if you placed heavier objects inside it will distort the bowl's shape.

This bowl was made by knitting a very large bowl shape using circular knitting needles. It took me over 4 hours to knit. I then wet felted it using hot water, soap, and agitation (a.k.a a washing machine) until the wool yarn had felted. Then it was carefully shaped, trimmed, and air dried. It ended up being a pleasant upside-down bell shape, with the top being 3 inches larger in diameter than the bottom.

Plants not included. If you are going to use this bowl as a planter cozy, please make sure not to get it wet. It may get moldy or discolored with repeated exposure to water. If you get it dirty, you can wash it in the washing machine on cold, gentle cycle, then carefully shape and air dry in a sunny location.
