Charming Antique Hubley Solid Cast Iron Cocker Spaniel (or is that a Springer Spaniel?) dog doorstop or bookend ... I always used it as a doorstop but it turns out it was actually intended to be a bookend. It weighs about three pounds, base measures 4 1/2" wide x 2 3/4" deep and it is 3 1/2" tall at its highest point. The paint is worn but it is all original, no touch-ups of any sort.
I am no expert on the subject, but I believe it is Hubley based on massive amounts of "googling" and internet-based research. I don't know its age - I'm guessing early 1930s, but it could be earlier.
